Your account information

metch stores your email address, optional name, email-verification date, saved selection, referral links and reward progress on the metch server. A profile is created only after the email code is verified.

Email and sign-in

One-time codes are sent through [email protected]. Codes expire after 10 minutes, allow at most five attempts and are stored as keyed hashes. A secure, HTTP-only session cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. Your account does not subscribe you to marketing email.

Referrals

Opening a shared link does not save a referral cookie. If you choose “Keep referral”, an HTTP-only cookie remembers the accepted referral for 30 days. It is used to assign a qualifying purchase, not to track activity on other sites. You can decline it or clear it below.

When you sign in, an accepted referral can be linked to your account. Clearing an unused referral also clears that account attribution. A referral already used for a confirmed purchase remains in the purchase record.

Club membership and preorders

Club membership is an explicit free opt-in. We store your join/leave dates. For a preorder, we store the agreed item and price snapshot, deposit and balance, delivery name/address, contact email, terms acceptance and Stripe payment references. Stripe processes card information; metch does not store full card details. Transactional order emails are separate from marketing.

Your selection and records

Guest selections are kept in this browser. Signed-in selections are saved to your account so they are available on your devices. Sign out on a shared device. You can close a member account after confirming a code sent to its email.

Closing your account removes your profile email, name, sessions and saved selection. Necessary order contact and delivery records are retained as needed to fulfil orders, handle refunds and meet legal obligations, alongside payment, reward and audit records.
